What We Handle
Ready to start your electrical project? Contact us today for a free, no-obligation quote.
Outlets & GFCI
Replace worn, loose or dead outlets, add new outlets and USB charging ports where you need them, and upgrade two-prong outlets to grounded three-prong receptacles. Where code calls for it, including bathrooms, kitchens, garages and outdoors, we install GFCI and AFCI protection to guard against shocks and fire hazards.
Ceiling Fans, Bath Fans & Light Fixtures
Replacing an old fixture or installing a ceiling or bath fan? We match the wiring, make sure the mounting is solid, and leave the work clean, with no wobble and no flicker. We can also swap or add the switches that control them.
Switches & Dimmers
Switches wear out. We replace worn, loose or failing switches, install dimmers, and fix lights that buzz, flicker or don't respond at the wall.
Troubleshooting & Repairs
Tripping breaker, dead outlet, partial power loss, or something that just isn't right? We trace the cause, fix it properly, and tell you what we found, so you know what happened and what it took to fix it.

Ace Electric did a phenomenal job with installing a 60 amp sub panel in my garage. I called them to get an estimate and they came to my home quickly and gave me an estimate. They completed the work a few days later and answered all of my questions and concerns. They were prompt, knowledgeable and very reasonably priced! I will definitely be using them again in the future for any electrical needs for my home!

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my outlet not working?
Start with the simple checks: press the reset button on any nearby GFCI outlet (common in bathrooms, kitchens, garages and outdoors), and check your breaker panel for a tripped breaker. If the outlet is still dead, feels warm, buzzes, or shows scorch marks or a burning smell, stop using it and call us. That points to a wiring or device problem that shouldn't wait.
Why does my breaker keep tripping?
A breaker trips to protect the circuit, most often because too much is plugged into it or because of a fault such as a damaged wire or a failing device. Unplug everything on that circuit and reset the breaker once. If it trips again right away, or the breaker or panel feels hot or smells like burning, don't keep resetting it. Call us so we can find the cause.
Can you add outlets without tearing up my walls?
In many cases, yes. Our experienced electricians can often fish wiring through existing walls, attics, and crawl spaces to install new outlets with minimal disruption. For brick or concrete walls, we may need to use surface-mounted conduit or raceway systems. During our initial assessment, we'll evaluate your home's construction and recommend the best installation method that balances aesthetics, safety, and cost-effectiveness for your specific Rockford home.
